 Scouts will be prepared

Nineteen members of the Huonville Scout Troop have just completed an eight week first Aid Course under Mr. John Redman. Last Friday night the boys, whose ages range from 101/2 to 14 years were tested by Huon branch Red Cross members. Successful candidates will receive a Red Cross First Aid Badge and Certificate. Scout Camp

Twenty five Huonville Scouts attended a camp at the Russell River from October 17th to 19th.

The Scouts were under the leadership of Messrs M. Burton and T. Rushton, assisted by Messrs T. Hyland and C. Crocker.
Highlight of the camp was the visit of the District Commissioner for the Huon (Mr. Tom Frankcomb Jnr.), who presented warrants to scout Leader Max Burton and Assistant Scout Leader Tony Rushton.
The lst Huonville Scouts will hold a 'Hogget and Cider Night, at Mr. Michael Salter's property,  Judbury Rd., Ranelagh, on November 22nd. A Cub Master or Mistress is required at Huonville and anyone interested may contact Mr. Burton.
